Sam Raimi, famous for his work on Spider-Man, is set to direct and produce the horror thriller Send Help. The film has now announced the addition of Dylan O'Brien and Rachel McAdams to the cast. Send Help, based on a script by Baywatch journalists Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, tells the story of two colleagues who survive a plane crash and are stranded on a desolate island, where they must battle survival challenges and confront personal issues. The film's tone is said to be reminiscent of Castaway, focusing on isolation and introspection.
Dylan O'Brien, known for his roles in The Maze Runner and Caddo Lake (2024), is already lined up for other projects, including Twinless and Anniversary. Rachel McAdams, fresh off her acclaimed role in Are You There God? It's Me Margaret (2023), has also garnered attention for her performances in both drama and comedy.
Raimi, who last directed Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), is teaming up with Zainab Azizi to produce the film under Raimi Productions. The film is slated for release in 2025.
