Hamid Barkzi, known for his impressive track record in reality television, is preparing for his next challenge with The 50, an upcoming reality show hosted by filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan. The show is scheduled to premiere on February 1, 2026, and will be available for streaming on JioHotstar, with television broadcast on Colors TV.

Hamid rose to fame after winning MTV Roadies Revolution and later emerged as the winner of Splitsvilla 14. With two major reality show victories to his name, expectations are high as he joins The 50, which brings together fifty contestants from diverse backgrounds to compete in a high-stakes format.

Ahead of the show’s launch, Hamid spoke in an interview about his strategy and competition. He acknowledged that several contestants pose a strong challenge, particularly Faisal Shaikh, popularly known as Faisu. According to Hamid, Faisal’s popularity, confidence and experience make him a formidable opponent in the game.

Hamid also mentioned Divya Agarwal as another contestant to watch out for. He said that both Faisal and Divya have strong personalities and competitive spirit, which could influence the course of the show. Hamid added that the dynamics among contestants will become clearer as the game progresses.

Reflecting on his past reality show journeys, Hamid said that winning Roadies and Splitsvilla taught him the importance of discipline, focus and mental strength. He believes these qualities will help him navigate the challenges of The 50, which is expected to test contestants both physically and mentally.

Hamid also clarified that he intends to maintain respectful conduct throughout the show. He stated that he does not plan to engage in abusive language or unnecessary conflicts, emphasising that performance and strategy should speak louder than aggression.

The 50 has generated significant buzz ahead of its release due to its large contestant lineup and Farah Khan’s involvement as host. The format is expected to blend competition, drama and entertainment, making it one of the most anticipated reality shows of the year.

With a strong fan following and a proven record in competitive reality formats, Hamid Barkzi enters The 50 as one of the favourites. However, as he himself admitted, the presence of strong competitors like Faisal Shaikh and Divya Agarwal means the journey will be far from easy. Viewers are now eagerly waiting to see how the competition unfolds once the show goes on air.

He said that both Faisal and Divya have strong personalities and competitive spirit, which could influence the course of the show.
