The Order, a gripping thriller directed by Justin Kurzel and starring Jude Law, is set to open the Marrakech International Film Festival on November 29. Based on the book The Silent Brotherhood by Kevin Flynn and Gary Gerhardt, the film follows an FBI agent’s efforts to combat neo-Nazi terrorists.
The film will be part of the festival’s Gala Screening section, which features a diverse selection of over 70 films. In addition to The Order, the section includes films like Everybody Loves Touda by Nabil Ayouch, The Shrouds by David Cronenberg, and The Seed of the Sacred Fig by Mohammad Rasoulof. All We Imagine As Light by Indian filmmaker Payal Kapadia is also part of the Special Screenings category.
The technical team behind The Order includes cinematographer Adam Arkapaw, editor Nick Fenton, and music composer Jed Kurzel, Justin's brother. The film stars a talented cast including Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Jurnee Smollett, Alison Oliver, and Marc Maron.
The Order premiered at the Venice International Film Festival earlier this year and is produced by Jude Law, Justin Kurzel, Bryan Haas, and Stuart Ford. The film is expected to make a significant impact at the Marrakech Festival, as it continues its journey on the international film circuit.
