OTT platforms are bringing a strong lineup of new films, series, and documentaries this week, catering to fans of thrillers, drama, mystery, and comedy. Streaming services such as Netflix, JioHotstar, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV Plus, and Zee5 are rolling out fresh content from January 11 onwards, making the second week of January a busy one for digital entertainment.

One of the notable Hindi releases is Taskaree: The Smuggler’s Web, a crime thriller series that follows a group of customs officers as they uncover a complex smuggling network. The show explores challenges faced by enforcement agencies while dealing with organised crime and illegal trade. The series is expected to appeal to viewers who enjoy investigative dramas rooted in real-world issues.

Hollywood fans can look forward to The Rip, an action-packed thriller that reunites Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. The film revolves around Miami police officers navigating corruption, loyalty, and danger while handling a high-stakes case. The reunion of the two actors has generated interest among international audiences, especially those who enjoy fast-paced action dramas.

JioHotstar is set to release Industry Season 4 from January 11. The HBO series, which explores the high-pressure world of finance and investment banking, returns with a darker and more intense storyline. The new season introduces additional cast members and raises the stakes as characters navigate ambition, power, and moral dilemmas. On the same day, the platform will also stream Nikita Roy, starring Sonakshi Sinha, marking its digital debut.

Netflix users will have multiple reasons to tune in this week. On January 12, the platform will premiere One Last Adventure, a documentary offering an inside look into the making of the final season of Stranger Things. The documentary revisits key moments, behind-the-scenes challenges, and emotional farewells from the popular series.

On January 15, Netflix will release Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials, a British mystery series adapted from the author’s 1929 novel. The show features performances by Mia McKenna-Bruce, Helena Bonham Carter, and Martin Freeman, and promises a suspense-filled narrative set in classic Christie style.

Comedy lovers can catch Mastiii 4 on Zee5 from January 16. The film stars Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, and Aftab Shivadasani, continuing the franchise known for its light-hearted humour and adult comedy.

Amazon Prime Video will stream The Night Manager Season 2, bringing back Tom Hiddleston as Jonathan Pine. Set years after the first season, the spy thriller shifts its setting from London to Colombia. Pine faces a new antagonist, an arms dealer aiming to fill the void left by Richard Roper. Written by David Farr, the series continues its exploration of espionage, danger, and moral conflict.

With a diverse mix of Indian and international content releasing this week, OTT platforms are offering viewers plenty of options across genres and languages.
