Actor Sunny Hinduja has spoken about the evolving rivalry between Sandeep Bhaiya and Abhilash Sharma in the latest season of the popular web series Aspirants. The show, which focuses on the lives and struggles of civil services aspirants preparing for the Union Public Service Commission examinations, has built a strong following among viewers for its realistic portrayal of ambition, friendship and competition.
In the series, Sunny Hinduja plays the role of Sandeep Bhaiya, a character who has become widely recognized among audiences for his guidance and mentorship to younger aspirants. Naveen Kasturia portrays Abhilash Sharma, whose journey from an idealistic student to a determined candidate forms a central narrative in the show. Their relationship, which initially began with mutual respect and mentorship, gradually evolves into a complex rivalry shaped by personal choices and professional ambitions.
Speaking about the conflict between the two characters, Hinduja explained that he sees merit in both perspectives. According to the actor, the storyline reflects how individuals with similar goals may approach life and career decisions in very different ways. He said that Sandeep Bhaiya represents discipline and experience, while Abhilash symbolizes youthful determination and ambition. These differences naturally create tension between the two characters as the story progresses.
The actor also highlighted that the show attempts to present a balanced portrayal of the rivalry rather than presenting a clear right or wrong side. From his perspective, both Sandeep and Abhilash are driven by their own motivations and challenges. Their disagreements arise from contrasting values and expectations rather than personal hostility.
Aspirants has gained popularity for its depiction of the intense preparation environment faced by candidates aspiring to join the Indian civil services. The narrative explores themes such as perseverance, friendship, academic pressure and the emotional impact of repeated attempts at competitive examinations. Many viewers have connected with the story because it reflects the experiences of thousands of students who prepare for the highly competitive examination process every year.
The third season continues to expand on the characters’ journeys and relationships. In addition to the rivalry between Sandeep Bhaiya and Abhilash, the series also focuses on the personal growth of the central characters and the challenges they encounter both in their careers and personal lives.
Industry observers note that the success of Aspirants reflects the growing popularity of web series that address realistic social themes. Streaming platforms have increasingly invested in stories that resonate with young audiences, particularly those dealing with education, career aspirations and personal development.
The show is currently available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video and continues to attract attention from viewers interested in character driven storytelling. As the narrative unfolds, audiences are expected to see further development in the relationship between Sandeep Bhaiya and Abhilash, making their rivalry one of the key elements of the series.
