During a recent promotional event in Kerala for his upcoming film Lucky Baskhar, which is set to release on October 31, Dulquer Salmaan shared exciting news about his future projects in the Malayalam film industry. The actor confirmed that he is committed to three new films: one with RDX director Nahas Hidhayath, another with actor Soubin Shahir, and a project with a debutant director whose name has not yet been disclosed. Dulquer expressed his intention to remain active in Malayalam cinema, indicating that he is also in discussions for several other projects.
The film with Nahas Hidhayath is reported to be an action-packed mass entertainer, which aligns well with Dulquer's dynamic on-screen presence. As for his collaboration with Soubin Shahir, it remains to be seen whether they will be reviving their long-delayed project Othiram Kadakam, which was first announced in July 2021. Dulquer was also set to produce this film, but there have been no updates on it since its announcement.
Dulquer Salmaan was last seen in the Malayalam film King of Kotha (2023) and is currently busy with the Tamil film Kaantha, directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, known for The Hunt for Veerappan. This period film is set in 1950s Tamil Nadu and is backed by Rana Daggubati. In addition to these projects, Dulquer has a Telugu film titled Aakasam Lo Oka Tara lined up, further showcasing his versatility as an actor across multiple languages and genres.
