Roshan Mathew and Dileesh Pothan have completed filming for writer-director Shahi Kabir's second directorial project. The production team made the announcement on Tuesday. This upcoming film, described as a gripping drama thriller, features a star-studded cast that includes Rajesh Madhavan, Sudhi Koppa, Arun Cherukavil, Lakshmi Menon, Krisha Kurup, and Nandan Unni.
On the technical front, the film boasts an impressive crew. It features State Award-winning cinematographer Manesh Madhavan, music composed by Drishyam’s Anil Johnson, and editing by Praveen Mangalath. The project is produced under the banner of Festival Cinemas by Rathish Ambat, Renjith EVM, and Jojo Jose.
Shahi Kabir has previously made a name for himself with his acclaimed screenwriting work in Joseph (2018) and Nayattu (2021). His directorial debut, Ela Veezha Poonchira (2022), earned him the Kerala State Film Award for Best Debut Director. He also won a National Award for Best Original Screenplay for Nayattu. Besides this project, Shahi is also writing the script for another upcoming film starring Kunchacko Boban, which is being directed by debutant Jithu Ashraf.
Roshan Mathew, who won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Dubbing Artist for Ullozhukku, was last seen in the Hindi film Ulajh. Dileesh Pothan, on the other hand, has a series of exciting films lined up, including Aashiq Abu’s Rifle Club, Girish A D’s I Am Kathalan, and Boban Samuel’s Machante Maalakha.
