Director Simple Suni has officially announced the title of Yash Shetty’s new film, Jungle Mangal. This exciting project is set against the backdrop of the semi-montane forests of Malenadu, blending cultural diversity, mystery, and romance into its storyline. Yash Shetty takes on the lead role, supported by Harshita Ramachandra, while Ugramm Manju plays a key supporting character. Produced by Sahyadri Studios, the film has completed filming and is scheduled for release next month.
The makers of Jungle Mangal reveal that the film is inspired by real-life events—past, present, and future—that will continue as long as humanity and nature coexist. The setting in Malenadu, a unique town at the crossroads of two regions above and below the ghats, enhances the film’s narrative.
Yash Shetty, known for his engaging performances, expressed his excitement about the project, stating, “The real hero of this film is the story. It’s unique and compelling. Originally, I was slated to play Ugramm Manju’s role, but the director later entrusted me with the lead. I am grateful to Suni and the team for this opportunity.”
Harshita Ramachandra, who plays Divya—a middle-class girl caught between love and family expectations—shared insights into her character's journey, saying, "My character faces a dilemma between her love for an irresponsible boy and the expectations of her family. How she navigates this choice is something to watch out for in the film."
Director Simple Suni conveyed his confidence in the project, praising the film's production quality and expressing gratitude to producer Manu Shedgar and investor Prajeet Hegde for their support. He urged audiences to support Jungle Mangal as it approaches its release date.
