The makers of I Am Kathalan, a highly anticipated thriller starring Naslen and directed by Girish AD, have announced the trailer release date on social media: October 26 at 5 pm. The film is slated for a November 7 theatrical release and marks the fourth collaboration between Naslen and Girish AD, following their previous works Thaneer Mathan Dinangal, Super Sharanya, and Premalu.
I Am Kathalan is described as a dark thriller centered around cybercrime. Though production began prior to their recent release, Premalu, the release of I Am Kathalan was delayed for undisclosed reasons. The film is written by actor Sajin Cherukayil, who also appears in a prominent role alongside a cast that includes Dileesh Pothan, Lijomol Jose, TG Ravi, Vineeth Vasudevan, and newcomers such as Anishma.
The film boasts a skilled technical team with Sidhartha Pradeep composing the music, Akash Joseph Varghese in charge of editing, and Sharan Velayudhan handling cinematography. Produced by Dr. Paul Varghese, I Am Kathalan is expected to bring a gripping and suspenseful story to audiences, exploring themes of technology and crime.
Alongside this film, Naslen and Girish AD have also lined up Premalu 2, a sequel to their popular rom-com, for release in 2025. Naslen’s upcoming projects include Alappuzha Gymkhana with director Khalid Rahman, Mollywood Times by Abhinav Sunder Nayak, and a new project with Tharangam director Dominic Arun, where he will star alongside Kalyani Priyadarshan.
