Director Tom Emmatty, who gained attention with his debut film Oru Mexican Aparatha, is all set to work with actor Vinayakan in his next directorial venture, titled Perunnal. The film is still in its early stages of production and will be backed by Emmatty’s own banner, Emmatty Kampany, alongside Jollywood Movies. Recently, the team announced a casting call seeking male and female actors for the project, but further details regarding the film’s genre, technical crew, and the commencement of filming are expected to be released soon.
Tom Emmatty's previous work includes The Gambler with Anson Paul, which followed his debut. He also announced a film titled Dhuniyavinte Orattathu, starring Sreenath Bhasi and Anu Sithara, though its current status remains unclear.
Vinayakan, who was last seen in Thekku Vadakku alongside Suraj Venjaramoodu, recently completed shooting for a film with Mammootty, directed by debutant Jithin K Jose. In this film, Mammootty reportedly plays a grey-shaded character, and it marks the seventh production venture from Mammootty’s Mammootty Kampany.
