Following his success with Veppam Kulir Mazhai, actor-producer Dhirav has announced his next venture, Dopamine @ 2.22, which he will both direct and star in, as well as produce. The film's first single, "Madhusoodhanan," is set to be released by music composer and singer Achu Rajamani on September 10.
The recently unveiled first look of Dopamine @ 2.22, produced by Dhirav under his banner Hashtag FDFS, features the central characters gripped by octopus claws, with a mobile phone prominently displayed in the center. This imagery is a nod to the film's exploration of themes related to mobile phone and social media addiction.
Describing the film, Dhirav states, "Dopamine @ 2.22 revolves around seven individuals from diverse backgrounds whose lives intertwine due to a murder that is yet to occur. It will primarily delve into the emotional struggles and addictions they face." The project was filmed across various locations in Chennai within a span of 18-20 days.
The cast includes Dhirav, Vijay Duke, Vibitha Thekkepet, Nikhila Sankar, Sathya, Samson, Sathish, Raghav, Vijayalakshmi, Ravi Ezhumalai, and Sakthi. In addition to writing and directing, Dhirav is also responsible for the film's editing. The technical team features cinematographer Prithvi Rajendran and music director Alan Shoji, promising a well-rounded production.
