RJ Balaji’s new film Sorgavaasal, directed by Sidharth Vishwanathan, is gearing up for a theatrical release on November 29. Earlier this year, it was confirmed that Balaji would team up with Vishwanathan for this project. The recently released teaser reveals Balaji's character struggling through a challenging prison term, hinting at a riveting storyline.
Set in 1999 in Chennai, Sorgavaasal follows Balaji’s character as he attempts a jailbreak, promising an intense and action-packed narrative. Joining Balaji in this venture are a talented ensemble cast, including Natty, Saniya Iyappan, Sharaf-U-Dheen, Hakkim Shah, Anthonythasan, Ravi Raghavendra, and Samuel Robinson, adding depth to the film’s storyline.
The film is penned by Thamizh Praba, Ashwin Ravichandran, and director Sidharth Vishwanathan, who previously worked under renowned director Pa Ranjith. With Christo Xavier providing the music, Prince Anderson handling cinematography, and Selva RK editing, the film’s technical team brings together notable talent. Art direction by S Jayachandran adds to the film's period-accurate setting. Produced by Think Studios and Swipe Right Studio, Sorgavaasal will hit screens on the same day as Miss You, starring Siddharth and Ashika Ranganath, offering audiences an exciting lineup at theaters.
