Dhanush's much-anticipated directorial, Nilavukku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK), has released its second single, "Kadhal Fail," yesterday. The song, described as a Gen-Z soup song, is composed by GV Prakash, with lyrics written and vocals provided by Dhanush himself. This follows the release of the first single, "Golden Sparrow," a few months earlier. The track's fresh sound and catchy vibe have already started to make waves among fans.
NEEK features a talented ensemble cast, including Pavish, Anikha Surendran, Priya Prakash Varrier, Matthew Thomas, Venkatesh Menon, Rabiya Khatoon, and Ramya Ranganathan in pivotal roles. The film is produced by Dhanush under his banner, and its music is scored by GV Prakash, who has previously collaborated with Dhanush on hits like Aadukalam, Asuran, Polladhavan, Vaathi, and Captain Miller.
The technical crew also includes Leon Britto as the cinematographer, capturing the film's visuals, while editing duties are handled by GK Prasanna. With a strong team behind the camera, NEEK promises a visually stunning and emotionally charged story.
This marks Dhanush's third directorial project after Raayan, which was his 50th film as an actor, and it also marks a significant milestone in his career as he continues to expand his creative horizons. In addition to NEEK, Dhanush is also working on his fourth directorial, Idli Kadai, which is scheduled to release on April 10, 2025, further building anticipation among his fanbase.
