In a major step towards digital governance, Ghaziabad ARTO (Administration) Rahul Srivastava has announced that 44 out of 58 transport-related services are now accessible online. This initiative, aimed at improving efficiency and reducing bureaucratic delays, will allow residents to avail various services without the need for physical visits to the RTO office.
The online services include vehicle registration, driving license issuance and renewal, permit applications, tax payments, and ownership transfer. Citizens can now apply for these services through the official transport department portal, ensuring a hassle-free and transparent process.
According to ARTO Rahul Srivastava, this digital transformation is expected to reduce long queues, enhance convenience, and curb malpractices by minimizing direct human intervention. Additionally, the move aligns with the government’s push towards e-governance and digital empowerment, making transport-related services more accessible.
Citizens have welcomed the initiative, stating that it will save time and effort. Authorities have also assured that the remaining 14 services will be digitized soon, further streamlining administrative processes.
This transition to online services is a significant milestone in Ghaziabad’s transport administration, bringing modern, technology-driven solutions to public services.
