Ahead of the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav has called on the Uttar Pradesh government to make comprehensive arrangements for the medical, food, and clothing needs of devotees. With millions expected to gather for the religious event, Yadav stressed the importance of ensuring that all necessary provisions are in place to ensure the well-being and safety of the pilgrims.
In a statement, Yadav highlighted that the government must take proactive steps to provide basic services, including medical facilities, nutritious food, and proper clothing, especially for those coming from economically weaker sections. He expressed concern over the potential challenges that could arise due to the large turnout of devotees and the scale of the event.
The former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister also urged the state administration to ensure the smooth coordination of the event and make arrangements for crowd management, sanitation, and security. He called for proper disaster management systems to be set up, considering the large number of people expected to attend the event.
Yadav further emphasized that the Uttar Pradesh government should focus on providing basic amenities in a timely manner and ensure that no devotee faces any hardships during the religious proceedings. His statement serves as a reminder to the authorities to prioritize the welfare of the pilgrims during one of the world’s largest religious gatherings.
The Maha Kumbh Mela, scheduled for 2025, is expected to draw millions of devotees from across India and abroad. As the event approaches, the government’s readiness to handle such a massive influx of people and provide essential services will be a key factor in ensuring its success. Akhilesh Yadav’s call for action underscores the need for careful planning and preparedness for this monumental event.
