Three BHU Faculty Members Selected for Prof CNR Rao Education Foundation Award for Excellence in Research (2022-2025)
In a moment of great pride for Banaras Hindu University (BHU), three faculty members from the Institute of Science have been selected for the Prof CNR Rao Education Foundation Award for Excellence in Research for the academic sessions 2022-2023, 2023-2024, and 2024-2025. The prestigious award, named after the renowned scientist Prof CNR Rao, is conferred upon scientists who have made exceptional contributions to Pure and Applied Sciences, including Basic Sciences, Agriculture, Engineering, and Technology.
For the 2022-2023 session, Prof Bhabani Prasad Mandal, a senior professor in the Department of Physics at BHU, has been honoured with the award. Prof Mandal’s groundbreaking work in physics has earned him national and international acclaim, and this award further recognises his ongoing contributions to scientific research.
For the 2023-2024 session, Prof Krishna Nand Singh, senior professor and head of the Department of Chemistry, has been selected for the prestigious award. The award for 2024-2025 will be presented to Prof Pratyoosh Shukla, professor and coordinator of the School of Biotechnology at BHU. Prof Shukla has made notable contributions to biotechnology and has played a crucial role in advancing research in this rapidly growing field.
