Bharatiya Janata Party President Nitin Nabin has said the party will carry out a comprehensive review of the results of the recently concluded assembly by elections in Bankipur in Bihar and Datia in Madhya Pradesh. Reacting to the outcome, he said the BJP fully respects the democratic verdict and will carefully analyse the reasons behind the electoral performance in both constituencies.
The BJP contested by elections in three assembly constituencies across different states. While the party successfully retained the Manjalpur Assembly constituency in Gujarat, it was defeated in the Bankipur Assembly constituency in Bihar and the Datia Assembly constituency in Madhya Pradesh.
Speaking after the results were declared, Nitin Nabin acknowledged the verdict delivered by voters and stated that the BJP accepts the mandate with humility. He said every election offers valuable lessons, and the party would undertake a detailed organisational and political assessment to understand the factors that influenced the results in the two constituencies where it was unsuccessful.
According to Nabin, the review process will include feedback from local party units, elected representatives, campaign managers, and grassroots workers. The objective, he said, is to identify strengths, understand shortcomings, and improve the party's strategy for future elections.
The BJP President also congratulated the winning candidates and thanked party workers, volunteers, and supporters who participated in the election campaign. He praised their efforts and encouraged them to continue working for the organisation despite the mixed results.
