Congress General Secretary K C Venugopal has raised questions over allegations of financial irregularities related to donations made to the Ram Temple, urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to respond to the issue. He said the Congress party intends to seek clarification from the government during the upcoming session of Parliament.

Addressing the media, Venugopal alleged that there had been serious irregularities in the handling of donations received for the Ram Temple. He claimed that the matter was of national importance because millions of devotees from across the country had contributed to the temple through donations made in good faith.

Venugopal questioned why the Prime Minister had not publicly responded to the allegations and said the issue required transparency and accountability. According to him, any concerns regarding the management of public donations should be addressed through appropriate inquiries and official clarification.

The Congress leader stated that his party would raise the matter in Parliament and seek explanations from the Union government. He said the opposition would demand that all allegations related to temple donations be thoroughly examined and that the findings be placed before the public.

In addition to the Ram Temple, Venugopal also referred to reports concerning alleged financial irregularities involving donations at the Badrinath and Kedarnath temples. He argued that if such allegations emerge in connection with major religious institutions, they should be investigated through established legal and administrative procedures to maintain public confidence.

As of now, no official investigation or judicial finding has conclusively established that any embezzlement of Ram Temple donations has occurred. The allegations mentioned by the Congress leader remain political claims and have not been confirmed by the relevant authorities.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and the concerned government authorities have not publicly accepted the allegations referred to by the Congress leader. Any inquiry, if initiated, would be conducted according to applicable laws and procedures.

The issue is expected to become part of the political debate during the upcoming Parliament session, where the opposition is likely to seek responses from the government on various matters relating to governance, transparency, and public accountability.

Political analysts note that financial transparency in charitable and religious institutions remains an issue that often attracts public attention. Allegations involving public donations generally require careful verification through official investigations before any conclusions can be drawn.

The Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress have frequently differed on issues relating to governance, public institutions, and accountability. The latest remarks by K C Venugopal reflect the continuing political exchanges between the ruling party and the opposition ahead of the Parliament session.

Any official response from the Union government, the temple trust, or investigating authorities is expected to provide greater clarity if further developments arise.
