Shiv Sena UBT Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has raised questions regarding the alleged disappearance of a 4 kg silver brick that he claims was donated by the party during the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. In a public statement, Raut called for a detailed investigation into the matter and sought accountability from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
In a post shared on the social media platform X, Raut stated that Shiv Sena UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray had donated Rs 1 crore along with a 4 kg silver brick for the construction of the temple. According to Raut, the donation was made in the presence of thousands of party workers and religious leaders during the temple construction process.
Raut alleged that despite the passage of several years, there has been no official acknowledgement or receipt issued by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust regarding the silver brick. He questioned its present status and urged the trust to clarify whether the offering had been received and properly recorded.
The Rajya Sabha MP stated that the matter requires a transparent investigation to establish the facts. He said that donations made for religious and public institutions should be managed with complete accountability and proper documentation to maintain public confidence.
