Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Jyoti Waghmare has approached the National Commission for Women with a formal complaint against Shiv Sena UBT Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut, alleging that he repeatedly used abusive language and made remarks that publicly insulted women representatives.
According to the complaint submitted to the National Commission for Women Chairperson in New Delhi, Waghmare alleged that Raut's statements and public conduct over the past four years amounted to repeated verbal abuse and inappropriate remarks directed at women in public life. She requested the commission to examine the matter and take appropriate action in accordance with the law.
Waghmare also sought the registration of a criminal case against Raut, stating in her complaint that the allegations warranted legal scrutiny. She argued that public representatives should maintain respectful language and conduct, particularly when addressing women holding public office.
The Rajya Sabha MP shared details of her complaint through a post on the social media platform X. In the post, she stated that the complaint had been filed against what she described as the continuous use of abusive language, obscene expressions, and public insults directed at women representatives. The social media post reiterated her request for the National Commission for Women to examine the issue.
