The Tamil Nadu Government is scheduled to present its first State Budget for the upcoming financial year in the Legislative Assembly. Finance Minister N. Reports indicate that members of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam may consider boycotting or staging a walkout during the proceedings following recent political developments, including issues related to the arrest of a party functionary. As of now, the party's final decision regarding its participation in the Budget session will be determined by its leadership.
If the Opposition chooses to protest inside or outside the Assembly, the proceedings may witness political exchanges alongside the Budget presentation. Such demonstrations are a recognised part of legislative practice and are subject to the rules and procedures of the Assembly.
