Senior Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin, who is also known for his active presence on YouTube, recently shared why he chooses not to post any content related to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on his channel, even though he was once an integral part of the franchise.
Ashwin, who represented CSK during the initial seasons of the Indian Premier League (IPL), clarified during a fan Q&A that he avoids discussing CSK on his YouTube platform out of personal ethics and respect for franchise boundaries. While many fans expected nostalgic videos or behind-the-scenes content, Ashwin stated that his current association with another IPL franchise makes it inappropriate to discuss a former team in depth.
“I have great respect for CSK, but I choose not to post any content about them. It’s an ethical call. I am currently with another team and want to keep things professional,” Ashwin said.
Maintaining Professional Boundaries
Ashwin, who currently plays for Rajasthan Royals, emphasized that he values professional integrity and doesn’t want to stir any unnecessary controversy by commenting or creating content about another team, even if it’s one he has previously played for.
Fans Appreciate Transparency
While some fans expressed disappointment at not being able to see CSK-related insights from Ashwin, many appreciated his candid explanation and professionalism. His YouTube channel remains popular for its analytical breakdowns, match reviews, and unique insights into Indian cricket.
Ashwin's Growing Digital Influence
Ashwin has emerged as one of the few active Indian cricketers balancing sports and content creation. His channel has become a trusted source for in-depth cricket discussions, especially during the IPL season.
As the 2025 IPL season progresses, fans can still expect plenty of analysis and insights — just not about CSK.
