Having previously won silver at the Tokyo Paralympics, he secured another silver in the Men's Singles SL4 category in Paris, reaffirming his status as one of India's top para badminton players.
The women's events saw groundbreaking achievements, with Thulasimathi Murugesan, Manisha Ramadass, and Nithya Sre Sivan making history as the first Indian women shuttlers to win medals at the Paralympics. Thulasimathi earned a silver medal in the Women's Singles SU5 category, demonstrating exceptional talent and determination. It serves as a reminder of the hard work, resilience, and dedication that these athletes exhibit, inspiring future generations to pursue their dreams, regardless of challenges.
As the BAI prepares to celebrate these athletes, it aims to create a supportive environment that fosters the development of para badminton in the country, encouraging more athletes to participate and excel in this sport.
