His efforts have significantly raised the profile of equestrian sports in India, a discipline that has often struggled to gain widespread attention.

Indian equestrian star Fouaad Mirza added another major achievement to his career by clinching the gold medal at the FEI CCI3*-S event held in Strzegom, Poland. Riding his trusted horse, Dajara 4, Mirza delivered an exceptional performance, scoring 30.1 points to top the leaderboard. His victory comes at a crucial moment, as he recently missed out on qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympics, making this win even more significant.

The Equestrian Federation of India (EFI) celebrated the win, stating, "A proud moment for the nation🇮🇳 as Fouaad Mirza stands tall on the podium, with the Indian National Anthem playing in the background, after clinching the top spot in the FEI CCI3*-S in Strzegom, Poland." In addition to the gold medal, Mirza was awarded a cash prize of 300 euros, underscoring his impressive skill and consistency in the sport.

Fouaad Mirza has long been a prominent figure in Indian equestrian sports. His most notable international breakthrough came at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, where he won two silver medals—one in individual eventing and the other as part of the Indian team. This remarkable achievement marked a historic moment for Indian equestrian sports, as Mirza became the first Indian since 1982 to win an individual equestrian medal at the Asian Games.

Mirza's achievements don’t stop there. In 2021, he represented India at the Tokyo Olympics, becoming the first Indian equestrian to do so since Imtiaz Anees in 2000. While he did not secure a medal, his participation on the world’s biggest sporting stage was a monumental achievement and an inspiration for many young athletes back home. His efforts have significantly raised the profile of equestrian sports in India, a discipline that has often struggled to gain widespread attention.

For his consistent excellence, Fouaad Mirza was honored with the prestigious Arjuna Award in 2019, one of India’s highest sporting honors. The award recognized his contribution to the sport and his role in bringing Indian equestrianism into the global spotlight. With his recent gold in Poland, Mirza continues to build on his legacy, proving his mettle as one of the leading figures in Indian sports.

His victory comes at a crucial moment, as he recently missed out on qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympics, making this win even more significant.
