Founded in 2025 by industry veterans with experience at CrowdStrike, Tenable, and Qualys, the New York-based company aims to redefine how enterprises use artificial intelligence for cybersecurity operations.

Cybersecurity startup Quantro Security has officially emerged from stealth mode, announcing $2.5 million in seed funding from Google’s early-stage AI fund Gradient. Founded in 2025 by industry veterans with experience at CrowdStrike, Tenable, and Qualys, the New York-based company aims to redefine how enterprises use artificial intelligence for cybersecurity operations.

Quantro Security’s flagship product, VM.Analyst, is an AI agent designed to provide organizations with actionable intelligence by gathering and analyzing data from multiple sources. The platform integrates with an organization’s existing cybersecurity stack, including firewalls, cloud services, CMDBs, and vulnerability management tools, normalizing and contextualizing data to offer clear guidance on risk reduction.

The AI agent assesses the organization’s security landscape, analyzing risks based on current security controls, system configurations, and threat patterns. It then provides actionable recommendations to help security teams address vulnerabilities, reduce risks, and maintain compliance. The platform is designed to keep humans in the loop, allowing security teams to supervise, interact with, or delegate tasks to the AI agent using natural-language prompts.

One of the key differentiators of Quantro Security is its emphasis on responsible data governance. According to the company, all data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, and no customer data is used to train the AI models. Additionally, the platform adheres to strict regional data residency requirements to ensure regulatory compliance across global operations.

VM.Analyst is designed to assist organizations in proactively identifying risks while minimizing manual effort for security teams. Analysts can use the system to receive automated summaries of vulnerabilities, prioritize remediation tasks, and gain insights into potential threats. By combining AI analysis with human oversight, Quantro Security aims to accelerate decision-making and improve enterprise cybersecurity posture.

The seed funding from Google’s Gradient fund reflects growing investor interest in AI-driven cybersecurity solutions. As cyber threats become increasingly sophisticated, AI platforms like Quantro’s offer enterprises a scalable approach to monitor, detect, and respond to risks in real time.

Quantro Security plans to use the funding to expand product development, enhance AI capabilities, and scale operations to meet enterprise demand. The startup’s entry into the market highlights the increasing convergence of AI and cybersecurity, where intelligent automation is becoming critical for large-scale threat detection and mitigation.

As organizations face rising cybersecurity threats, platforms like VM.Analyst are expected to play a central role in reducing risks, improving operational efficiency, and enabling security teams to respond faster to emerging threats.

The platform is designed to keep humans in the loop, allowing security teams to supervise, interact with, or delegate tasks to the AI agent using natural-language prompts.
