In terms of features, the F 450 GS is likely to offer modern equipment such as full LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, multiple riding modes, traction control, and switchable ABS.

BMW Motorrad is reportedly preparing to launch an all-new F 450 GS motorcycle in India in the first half of 2026. The upcoming model is expected to play a key role in expanding the brand’s mid-capacity motorcycle portfolio and catering to a growing segment of aspirational riders in the country.

The BMW F 450 GS is likely to be powered by a newly developed 450cc twin-cylinder engine. This marks a strategic shift for BMW Motorrad, which has traditionally focused on single-cylinder engines in the entry-level segment. The twin-cylinder configuration is expected to deliver smoother performance, improved refinement, and better highway cruising ability compared to smaller single-cylinder motorcycles.

Positioned as an entry-level adventure motorcycle, the F 450 GS will sit below the existing F 750 GS and F 850 GS models in BMW’s global lineup. It is expected to feature a lightweight chassis, long-travel suspension, and an upright riding posture designed for both on-road touring and light off-road use. The motorcycle may also come equipped with a 19-inch front wheel, spoke wheels, and a robust braking system to support its adventure-focused nature.

In terms of features, the F 450 GS is likely to offer modern equipment such as full LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, multiple riding modes, traction control, and switchable ABS. These features are expected to align with BMW Motorrad’s premium positioning while offering value to riders entering the brand for the first time.

Reports suggest that BMW Motorrad may manufacture the F 450 GS locally in partnership with TVS Motor Company, similar to the production strategy used for the G 310 series. Local manufacturing could help keep costs competitive and make the motorcycle more accessible to Indian buyers.

The launch of the F 450 GS is seen as part of BMW Motorrad’s broader plan to strengthen its presence in the fast-growing mid-capacity motorcycle segment in India. With increasing interest in adventure touring and long-distance riding, the demand for capable and versatile motorcycles has been steadily rising.

If launched as expected, the BMW F 450 GS will compete with models such as the KTM 390 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan, and other upcoming mid-capacity adventure motorcycles. The new model could offer an alternative for riders looking for a premium badge combined with practical performance.

Further details regarding specifications, pricing, and launch timelines are expected to be revealed closer to the official launch. The F 450 GS could become a significant addition to BMW Motorrad’s India lineup if positioned competitively.
