Actress Fatima Sana Shaikh has showcased a heavily customised Royal Enfield Meteor 350, giving the popular cruiser motorcycle a distinctive bobber inspired appearance. The actress recently shared photographs and videos of the motorcycle on social media, showing its transformation from a standard Meteor 350 into a personalised single seat custom motorcycle.
The custom project has attracted attention because of the extent of the changes made to the motorcycle. Rather than simply adding accessories, the build features several modifications to the bodywork, seating arrangement, lighting and handlebar setup. The result is a motorcycle with a more minimalist and old school appearance while retaining the basic character of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350.
The customisation was carried out through a collaboration involving Bombay Custom Works, YC Design Motorcycles and Buzz Moto. Fatima Sana Shaikh also acknowledged the teams involved in bringing the project together. In her social media post, she described the process as an idea that eventually became a detailed motorcycle that reflected her personal style.
One of the most noticeable changes is the seating arrangement. The standard Meteor 350 has been converted into a single seat motorcycle. The pillion seat, pillion footpegs and rear grab rails have been removed, creating a cleaner rear profile. A custom red diamond stitched leather solo seat has been fitted in their place, providing a strong contrast against the darker bodywork.
The rear section has also undergone substantial modification. The rear fender has been shortened to create a more compact appearance. This change, combined with the single seat and stripped down rear section, gives the motorcycle a bobber style stance.
The fuel tank has been finished in gloss black and has been stripped of the standard branding. The simple tank treatment allows other details, particularly the red seat and chrome components, to stand out more prominently.
The lighting arrangement has also been changed. Reports indicate that the original headlamp has been replaced with an aftermarket LED unit featuring a horizontal daytime running light design. The standard indicators have also been replaced with smaller round units finished in silver. A round retro style tail lamp has been positioned at the rear, complementing the shortened fender.
The handlebar setup is another major part of the transformation. The customised Meteor 350 receives tall chrome ape hanger style handlebars, giving it a more traditional custom motorcycle silhouette. Red grips have been used to match the colour of the solo seat, while round chrome rear view mirrors add another classic element.
These modifications give Fatima Sana Shaikh’s motorcycle a significantly different appearance compared with the standard Royal Enfield Meteor 350. The original motorcycle is designed as a relaxed cruiser, but the custom build adopts the visual language of a traditional bobber with a stripped down rear section, solo seating and minimalist bodywork.
Despite the extensive cosmetic changes, the motorcycle retains the fundamental mechanical character of the Meteor 350. The model is powered by Royal Enfield’s 349 cc single cylinder air oil cooled engine. The engine produces approximately 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm of torque and is paired with a five speed gearbox.
The Meteor 350 also has a relaxed riding position and a relatively low seat height, characteristics that have contributed to its popularity among a wide range of riders. The motorcycle uses a 19 inch front wheel and a 17 inch rear wheel, contributing to its cruiser proportions and road presence.
Royal Enfield has equipped the Meteor 350 with several modern features alongside its classic styling. Depending on the version and market, the motorcycle includes LED lighting, Tripper navigation, a Type C charging port and a slip and assist clutch. These features combine modern convenience with the traditional cruiser design.
The Meteor 350 has also established itself as an important model in Royal Enfield’s product portfolio. Its relatively simple design and cruiser proportions have made it a popular base for customisation projects. Owners and custom builders have previously experimented with different seats, fenders, handlebars, lighting systems and body panels to create individual versions of the motorcycle.
Fatima Sana Shaikh’s build takes this customisation approach considerably further. The single seat configuration and shortened rear section give the motorcycle a purpose built appearance rather than the look of a standard motorcycle fitted with a few aftermarket accessories.
The project also reflects the broader custom motorcycle culture in India. Royal Enfield motorcycles have traditionally attracted a strong community of owners interested in personalisation. Custom builders frequently modify the visual character of Royal Enfield motorcycles while retaining their underlying engines and chassis.
However, motorcycle owners should consider legal and safety requirements before making similar modifications. Changes to important components such as lighting, handlebars, bodywork and seating should comply with applicable regulations and should not compromise the motorcycle’s safety or roadworthiness. A customised motorcycle should also be inspected to ensure that modified components are securely installed.
Fatima Sana Shaikh’s motorcycle is therefore notable primarily for its design and personalisation. It represents an individual custom project rather than a new factory model from Royal Enfield. The company’s current Indian motorcycle range continues to include the Meteor 350 as a production cruiser, alongside models such as the Classic 350, Bullet 350, Goan Classic 350 and Super Meteor 650.
The custom build also demonstrates how the Meteor 350 platform can be visually transformed without losing its core identity. The combination of a low stance, solo seat, shortened rear section, black fuel tank and chrome detailing gives the motorcycle a distinctly different character from the standard model.
For Fatima Sana Shaikh, the project appears to have been a personal design exercise rather than simply a purchase of a new motorcycle. Her social media post documented the process and showed the finished machine alongside the teams involved in its creation. The response has drawn attention to both the motorcycle and the growing interest in personalised motorcycles among enthusiasts.
The customised Royal Enfield Meteor 350 ultimately stands out because of its combination of classic custom motorcycle styling and the familiar mechanical platform of a modern Royal Enfield cruiser. The bobber inspired changes have created a one off appearance that reflects the actress’s stated personal connection with the project.
The transformation also highlights the continuing popularity of Royal Enfield motorcycles as platforms for custom builds. With their classic proportions and relatively straightforward styling, these motorcycles provide builders with considerable scope to create unique designs.
Fatima Sana Shaikh’s Meteor 350 is now visually far removed from the standard showroom motorcycle. Its solo seat, shortened rear, black tank, chrome handlebars, redesigned lighting and custom detailing collectively create a distinctive bobber style motorcycle that has attracted considerable attention online.
