While the company has not made any official announcement, growing speculation within the automobile industry suggests that Bajaj aims to refresh the Pulsar lineup to meet evolving customer preferences and regulatory requirements.

Bajaj Auto is reportedly working on expanding its Pulsar portfolio with a new-generation Pulsar Classic, which is expected to make its debut in 2026. While the company has not made any official announcement, growing speculation within the automobile industry suggests that Bajaj aims to refresh the Pulsar lineup to meet evolving customer preferences and regulatory requirements.

The Pulsar brand has played a key role in shaping India’s sporty commuter motorcycle segment for over two decades. Known for its aggressive styling, reliable performance and value pricing, Pulsar motorcycles continue to enjoy strong demand across urban and semi-urban markets. A Classic variant could help Bajaj tap into the growing interest in retro-inspired motorcycles while retaining the performance-oriented DNA of the Pulsar range.

Reports indicate that the new-generation Pulsar Classic may feature a refreshed design that draws inspiration from earlier Pulsar models, combined with modern elements such as LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster and updated ergonomics. The motorcycle is also expected to meet future emission norms, which could mean refinements to the engine or the introduction of improved fuel-injection technology.

In terms of powertrain, the Pulsar Classic could share engines with existing Pulsar models, possibly ranging between 150cc and 250cc. Bajaj may tune the engine for better low-end torque and improved fuel efficiency to appeal to everyday riders. Enhanced ride comfort, improved suspension setup and better braking hardware are also likely, in line with current market expectations.

Safety and technology upgrades are expected to be a key focus for the upcoming model. Features such as single or dual-channel ABS, traction control on higher variants and smartphone connectivity could be introduced, depending on the final positioning. These additions would help the Pulsar Classic compete with rivals offering feature-rich motorcycles in the same segment.

Industry experts believe that launching a Pulsar Classic could strengthen Bajaj Auto’s presence amid rising competition from both domestic and international brands. With customers increasingly looking for motorcycles that offer character, reliability and modern features, a well-priced Pulsar Classic could find a strong audience in India.

If launched in 2026, the new-generation Pulsar Classic is expected to be positioned as a lifestyle-oriented yet practical motorcycle. Pricing will play a crucial role, especially as buyers remain price-sensitive in the mid-capacity motorcycle segment. As of now, enthusiasts will have to wait for official details from Bajaj Auto regarding specifications, launch timelines and pricing.
