The new test models indicate that Yezdi has focused on fine-tuning both the visual appeal and mechanical performance based on market feedback and evolving customer preferences.

Yezdi Motorcycles, under Classic Legends, is gearing up to unveil updated versions of its Roadster and Scrambler models on August 12. Ahead of the official launch, test units of both motorcycles have been spotted on public roads, revealing several visible and potential updates. These new iterations are expected to bring notable changes in design, comfort, and overall riding dynamics to strengthen the brand’s position in the competitive mid-size motorcycle segment in India.

The Yezdi Roadster and Scrambler were both introduced as modern interpretations of classic motorcycling styles, aimed at urban riders and adventure enthusiasts respectively. The new test models indicate that Yezdi has focused on fine-tuning both the visual appeal and mechanical performance based on market feedback and evolving customer preferences.

In terms of design, both motorcycles appear to receive refreshed color schemes and new body graphics. The Roadster is likely to feature a slightly more premium finish, possibly with a matte or dual-tone look, while the Scrambler seems to retain its rugged aesthetic with added detailing. The seating posture on the Roadster seems more upright now, which could translate to improved long-distance comfort, while the Scrambler’s handlebar and footpeg positioning hint at better off-road ergonomics.

Although official details are awaited, it is speculated that Yezdi may have reworked engine refinement and heat management to enhance ride quality. Both models are powered by a 334cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine shared with other Yezdi and Jawa models, but slight retuning might be introduced for smoother power delivery and improved fuel efficiency.

Mechanically, the Roadster and Scrambler could feature updated suspension tuning for a more balanced ride. The Scrambler’s long-travel suspension setup and dual-purpose tyres are likely to remain, while the Roadster could benefit from slightly firmer damping for highway stability. Brake setup with disc brakes at both ends and dual-channel ABS is expected to continue unchanged.

Another area of potential enhancement is instrumentation and electronics. While the current models feature a simple digital console, the updated versions might offer improved visibility or layout. There are also rumors of Bluetooth connectivity and navigation support being added, though this has not been confirmed.

From a market perspective, Yezdi is expected to price these refreshed models competitively. Given the current price range of the Roadster starting around Rs 2.06 lakh and the Scrambler near Rs 2.13 lakh (ex-showroom), the updated models might see a marginal increase depending on the extent of changes. With the festive season approaching, this timing could help Yezdi attract buyers looking for performance and style at accessible price points.

Overall, the 2024 versions of the Yezdi Roadster and Scrambler are set to deliver improvements in styling, comfort, and refinement. These changes reflect Yezdi’s intention to stay relevant in a crowded segment that includes rivals like the Royal Enfield Meteor 350, Honda CB350, and the recently launched Hero Mavrick 440. The August 12 launch will reveal the complete details and help determine how well these bikes perform in the evolving Indian motorcycle market.

The Roadster is likely to feature a slightly more premium finish, possibly with a matte or dual-tone look, while the Scrambler seems to retain its rugged aesthetic with added detailing.
