Honda has launched the facelifted Elevate in India with a revised design, additional features and an expanded variant lineup. The updated midsize SUV is available in six variants, namely SV, V, VX, ZX, ZX Plus and ZX Plus Black. Introductory ex showroom prices start at Rs 11.80 lakh for the base SV manual and extend to Rs 18.40 lakh for the range topping ZX Plus Black with the CVT automatic transmission.
The facelift represents the first major update to the Honda Elevate since its introduction in India. Honda has concentrated mainly on styling, comfort, technology and safety improvements, while retaining the existing engine and transmission options. The 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine continues to produce 121 hp and 145 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a six speed manual gearbox and a CVT automatic, depending on the variant.
The six variant structure gives buyers several options based on budget and equipment requirements. The SV is the entry level version, while the V provides access to the CVT automatic. The VX adds more convenience and technology features, while the ZX brings additional premium equipment. The new ZX Plus sits above the ZX, and the ZX Plus Black is the highest priced version of the range.
Honda Elevate SV
The SV is the most affordable version of the facelifted Elevate. It is priced at Rs 11.80 lakh ex showroom and is available only with the six speed manual gearbox. It is aimed at buyers who want the basic Elevate package without paying for the additional features offered on higher trims.
The base version receives the updated exterior design, LED projector headlamps with daytime running lights, automatic climate control and a seven inch TFT multi information display. However, several premium features available higher in the range are not offered on the SV.
For buyers whose priority is the lowest purchase price and the manual transmission, the SV can be considered. However, customers looking for a touchscreen infotainment system, additional connectivity features and a wider equipment list may find the higher variants more suitable.
Honda Elevate V
The V variant sits above the SV and is the entry point for customers who want the CVT automatic transmission. It is priced at Rs 12.29 lakh with the manual gearbox and Rs 13.79 lakh with the CVT.
The V adds several features over the base version and provides a more balanced equipment package. It can be a suitable choice for buyers who want an automatic midsize SUV without moving into the higher price brackets.
For city users who regularly deal with traffic, the CVT version can offer greater convenience than the manual. Buyers who are comfortable with a manual gearbox can save money by choosing the V manual.
Honda Elevate VX
The VX is positioned as one of the important mid range variants. It costs Rs 13.93 lakh with the manual gearbox and Rs 15.39 lakh with the CVT automatic.
This variant adds a more comprehensive list of convenience, technology and safety equipment compared with the lower trims. For buyers who want a better equipped Elevate without moving directly to the most expensive variants, the VX can be an attractive option.
The VX is particularly relevant for customers who want an automatic vehicle with additional features but do not necessarily need every feature offered on the top versions.
Honda Elevate ZX
The ZX is priced at Rs 15.39 lakh for the manual version and Rs 16.89 lakh for the CVT automatic. It sits below the newly introduced ZX Plus and provides several premium features.
The facelift adds important equipment to the upper variants. One of the most significant additions is a 360 degree camera, which provides a wider view around the vehicle while parking and manoeuvring in tight spaces. Honda has also added front parking sensors and rear disc brakes to the updated model.
The ZX also benefits from the expanded Honda Sensing safety package. The CVT versions receive adaptive cruise control with low speed follow functionality. Other features carried over or offered on higher trims include a 10.25 inch infotainment screen, wireless connectivity, wireless charging, six airbags and a lane watch camera.
Honda Elevate ZX Plus
The ZX Plus is the new top level variant in the regular Elevate range. It costs Rs 16.80 lakh with the manual gearbox and Rs 18.30 lakh with the CVT automatic.
The biggest reason to consider the ZX Plus is its additional comfort equipment. The facelift introduces ventilated front seats and rear seat ventilation, making the model more focused on passenger comfort. The 360 degree camera is also available on this upper trim.
The addition of rear seat ventilation is one of the most notable changes to the updated Elevate. It gives rear passengers an additional comfort feature that was not available on the earlier model. For buyers who frequently travel with family members in the rear seats, this equipment could make the ZX Plus more appealing.
Honda Elevate ZX Plus Black
The ZX Plus Black is the range topping version. It is priced at Rs 16.90 lakh with the manual transmission and Rs 18.40 lakh with the CVT.
The Black version is aimed primarily at customers who want the highest equipment level combined with a darker exterior and interior theme. It sits at the top of the Elevate price range and costs more than the standard ZX Plus.
The mechanical setup remains unchanged across the range. The facelift continues with the 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, rather than receiving a new hybrid or turbocharged powertrain. Honda has therefore focused the update on design, equipment and refinement rather than major mechanical changes.
Exterior changes
The facelift brings noticeable changes to the front of the Elevate. It receives a revised grille, updated lighting elements and a new connected LED design. The Honda logo has also been repositioned towards the leading edge of the bonnet.
At the rear, the SUV receives connected LED tail lamps. The overall body shape remains familiar, while additional styling changes help differentiate the updated model from the previous version. Honda has also introduced Nordic Forest Pearl as a new exterior colour.
Interior and comfort upgrades
The cabin receives several equipment upgrades. Honda has added more premium trim elements, ambient lighting on higher variants and additional convenience features. The updated Elevate also gets improved sound insulation, with Honda stating that additional sound deadening has been used to improve cabin refinement.
The new 360 degree camera is another important addition. It can be useful while parking and navigating narrow spaces, particularly in urban conditions. Higher variants also receive powered and ventilated front seats, while the rear seats receive ventilation functionality on the top trims.
Which variant should you buy
For buyers focused mainly on price and willing to drive a manual, the SV is the most affordable entry point. However, it sacrifices several features available on higher variants.
The V is more suitable for buyers who want an automatic Elevate at a relatively lower price because it is the first variant available with the CVT. It provides a reasonable balance between price and equipment.
The VX can be considered by buyers who want a more comprehensive equipment list without paying for the highest variants. It offers both manual and CVT options and sits in the middle of the range.
The ZX is a stronger choice for buyers who place greater importance on premium features and safety technology. Its 360 degree camera and additional equipment make it more feature rich than the lower trims.
The ZX Plus is the variant to consider for buyers who specifically want the newest comfort features, including ventilated front and rear seats. The ZX Plus CVT is priced at Rs 18.30 lakh, while the ZX Plus Black CVT costs Rs 18.40 lakh.
For most buyers, the VX or ZX may provide the best balance between price and equipment, while the ZX Plus is more appropriate for customers who prioritise maximum features. This is a feature based assessment rather than a universal recommendation, as the ideal variant depends on budget, transmission preference and individual requirements.
The Honda Elevate facelift continues to compete in the midsize SUV segment against models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Skoda Kushaq. Its main strengths remain the naturally aspirated petrol engine, spacious cabin, ground clearance and Honda Sensing safety technology, while the facelift addresses some of the equipment gaps of the previous model.
The updated Elevate therefore offers a wider range of choices than before. With six variants, two transmission options and a price range extending from Rs 11.80 lakh to Rs 18.40 lakh ex showroom, buyers have several configurations to consider. The final on road price will vary depending on the city, insurance, registration charges, taxes and other applicable costs.
