Areas such as technology, logistics, renewable energy, defence, healthcare, tourism, food processing, digital services and engineering are included in the broader exhibition programme.

The fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show has begun in Greater Noida, bringing together Indian businesses and international buyers as the state seeks to expand its trade, manufacturing and investment connections.

The five day event is being held from September 25 to 29, 2026, at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida. The Uttar Pradesh government is organising the event in association with the Federation of Indian Export Organisations and India Exposition Mart Limited.

More than 1,000 Indian sellers, exporters, manufacturers and micro, small and medium enterprises are participating in the trade show. According to the Federation of Indian Export Organisations, more than 600 foreign buyers from 88 countries are expected to take part in the event. The participation provides Indian businesses with opportunities to interact directly with overseas buyers and explore potential trade partnerships. 

The 2026 edition has an expanded international component, with Austria, Japan, Russia, Singapore, Belarus and Vietnam participating as partner countries. Business delegations from different regions are expected to hold discussions covering trade, investment, manufacturing, technology, sourcing and industrial cooperation.

The international buyer programme is being supported by the Federation of Indian Export Organisations. The programme is intended to connect foreign importers, distributors, sourcing companies, retailers and other business representatives with Indian manufacturers and exporters.

Uttar Pradesh is presenting the trade show as a platform to showcase its manufacturing and export capabilities. Products and services from sectors including textiles, leather, food processing, engineering goods, electronics, handicrafts, agriculture, automobiles, defence, renewable energy and information technology are being represented at the event.

The trade show also places emphasis on the states micro, small and medium enterprise sector and its One District One Product initiative. The programme is designed to provide businesses from different districts with greater visibility among domestic and international buyers.

According to figures cited by the Uttar Pradesh government, the states exports crossed 2 lakh crore rupees during the 2025 to 2026 financial year. Exports were reported at about 2,01,241 crore rupees, compared with approximately 88,000 crore rupees in the 2017 to 2018 financial year. The increase has been accompanied by growth in manufacturing activity and expansion of industrial clusters in parts of the state. 

The Noida and Greater Noida region has become an important centre for electronics and manufacturing activity in Uttar Pradesh. Companies involved in electronics manufacturing have expanded their presence in the region, while other industrial clusters across the state continue to contribute to exports.

Electronics and electrical machinery have emerged as a significant export category for the state. According to the figures reported by The Economic Times, exports of electrical machinery and electronics reached about 46,960 crore rupees during the 2025 to 2026 financial year. Meat and meat products and woven garments were among other major export categories. 

The state government is also using the trade show to promote investment opportunities beyond traditional manufacturing. Areas such as technology, logistics, renewable energy, defence, healthcare, tourism, food processing, digital services and engineering are included in the broader exhibition programme.

The event includes business to business meetings intended to help Indian companies establish commercial relationships with overseas buyers. Government representatives are also expected to interact with international business delegations regarding investment opportunities, sourcing requirements and industrial collaborations.

The 2026 event builds on the previous editions of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show. According to the official event platform, the 2025 edition recorded more than 5 lakh visitors, including more than 1.4 lakh business to business visitors. More than 550 overseas buyers from 85 countries participated in that edition. The organisers also reported more than 2,400 memorandums of understanding with a stated value of about 1,882 crore rupees and business enquiries exceeding 11,200 crore rupees.

The current edition is therefore larger in terms of international participation and the number of countries involved. The official event information says the exhibition will feature more than 2,400 exhibitors and a broad range of products and services from Uttar Pradesh and other parts of India.

The event is taking place ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, giving the trade and investment initiatives additional political context. However, the stated objectives of the trade show are focused on increasing market access, promoting exports, attracting investment and connecting businesses with international buyers.

The government is seeking to use the event to present Uttar Pradesh as a manufacturing and sourcing hub. The success of this approach will depend in part on whether discussions and business meetings during the exhibition lead to actual orders, investment commitments and longer term commercial partnerships.

The state has also highlighted the role of the event in helping smaller businesses access international markets. For MSMEs and local producers, direct interaction with overseas buyers can provide opportunities to identify new markets and understand international sourcing requirements.

The five day programme also includes knowledge sessions and discussions on areas such as artificial intelligence, electronics manufacturing, digital trade, food processing, MSME development and international trade agreements. These sessions are intended to provide businesses with information about changing market conditions and emerging commercial opportunities. 

The fourth Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show is consequently being positioned as both a trade exhibition and a business networking platform. With participation from foreign buyers, Indian exporters, manufacturers, MSMEs and partner countries, the event is expected to provide opportunities for new trade relationships and investment discussions.

The key question for the state will be how effectively the business interactions translate into export orders, investment projects and sustained international partnerships after the exhibition concludes.

The event is taking place ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, giving the trade and investment initiatives additional political context.
