Ceenik Exports (India) Limited, established in 1995 and headquartered in Mumbai, is a merchant exporter specializing in clothing. The company has successfully expanded its reach to international markets, including the United States and the United Arab Emirates. Recently, the company announced a 1:5 bonus shares allotment, with a record date set for January 3, 2025, marking a significant step in capital restructuring.
On Tuesday, Ceenik Exports' shares closed 1.76% higher at Rs 1269.20, with a market capitalization of Rs 425.18 crore. The company’s positive performance in 2023-24 and the first half of 2024-25, with a total reserve and surplus of Rs. 9.02 crore as of September 30, 2024, was highlighted in its announcement. To capitalize on its security premium account and optimize the capital structure, the company’s Board of Directors approved the issuance of bonus shares.
According to a regulatory filing, the bonus shares will be allotted in a 1:5 ratio, meaning one fully paid-up equity share for every five shares held. The bonus shares will be credited to the accounts of eligible shareholders in dematerialized form, as per SEBI regulations. For shareholders holding shares in physical form, the bonus shares will be transferred to a suspense account.
This bonus issue is seen as a strategic move to enhance the company’s financial standing and increase shareholder value. Investors interested in adding Ceenik Exports shares to their portfolios should note the record date of January 3, 2025, to ensure eligibility for the bonus allotment.
