Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3 has achieved a major box office milestone within four days of its theatrical release. The crime thriller has crossed the Rs 300 crore mark in worldwide gross collections, continuing the strong momentum generated by its opening weekend.
According to reported trade figures, Drishyam 3 collected around Rs 21 crore net in India on Day 4, which was the film’s first Monday. The Monday figure represented a significant decline from the previous day, when the film earned Rs 61 crore net in India. Despite the weekday drop, the film’s overall performance remained strong enough to push its worldwide gross beyond Rs 300 crore.
After four days, the film’s India net collection stands at approximately Rs 197.50 crore. Its domestic gross has reached around Rs 237 crore, while the overseas gross has reportedly reached Rs 66 crore. Combining the domestic and international figures, Drishyam 3 has recorded a worldwide gross of approximately Rs 303 crore.
The film opened strongly on October 2, with Rs 62 crore net in India on its first day. It collected around Rs 53.50 crore on Saturday and followed that with another Rs 61 crore on Sunday. The first weekend therefore gave the film a strong foundation before the expected decline on the first working day.
The Day 4 collection of Rs 21 crore marks a drop of more than 65 percent compared with the Sunday business. However, such a decline is common when a film moves from a holiday or weekend period into regular weekdays. What stands out in the case of Drishyam 3 is that the film had already accumulated a substantial amount during its first three days.
The film’s India net total of Rs 197.50 crore has also brought it very close to the Rs 200 crore milestone. At the end of Day 4, the film was only around Rs 2.5 crore short of reaching the Rs 200 crore mark in India.
Drishyam 3 is directed by Abhishek Pathak and features Ajay Devgn in the lead role as Vijay Salgaonkar. Tabu returns as Meera Deshmukh, while Shriya Saran reprises her role as Nandini Salgaonkar and Ishita Dutta returns as Anju. Rajat Kapoor and other members of the earlier cast are also part of the third instalment.
The film also introduces new additions to the franchise, including Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj. Their presence has added another layer to the crime and mystery-driven storyline. The third film continues the story of Vijay Salgaonkar and his family, who once again find themselves dealing with the consequences of a crime and the investigation surrounding it.
The Drishyam franchise has developed a strong audience base because of its combination of family drama, suspense and crime elements. The first Hindi film, released in 2015, introduced audiences to Vijay Salgaonkar and his efforts to protect his family. Drishyam 2, released in 2022, continued that story and became a major box office success.
Drishyam 3 takes the franchise further with an original story. The film is not simply a retelling of the Malayalam Drishyam storyline. Instead, the Hindi third instalment has been presented as a new chapter involving Vijay and his family. This has allowed the filmmakers to create a separate conclusion for the Hindi version of the franchise.
The film’s opening performance has also placed it among the notable Hindi releases of 2026. Its first-day collection of Rs 62 crore reportedly became the biggest opening day of Ajay Devgn’s career. The strong weekend further strengthened expectations about its overall theatrical run.
However, the coming weekdays will be important for the film. After the initial holiday and weekend period, maintaining audience interest through regular working days will determine how strongly Drishyam 3 continues its theatrical journey. The Day 4 decline was substantial, but the film still managed to cross the Rs 300 crore worldwide milestone.
The overseas market has also contributed significantly to the film’s performance. With approximately Rs 66 crore in overseas gross collections after four days, international business has helped push the film past the Rs 300 crore global mark.
Another notable development is that the film has already surpassed the reported lifetime worldwide theatrical gross of the Malayalam Drishyam 3, which starred Mohanlal. The Malayalam film reportedly finished its theatrical run with a worldwide gross of around Rs 237.70 crore.
With Rs 303 crore in worldwide gross collections after four days, Drishyam 3 has made a strong start at the global box office. The immediate target for the film is to cross Rs 200 crore net in India and continue its momentum during the first full week.
As the theatrical run progresses, the film’s weekday collections, second weekend performance and long-term audience response will determine whether it can reach additional box office milestones. For now, the Rs 300 crore worldwide mark within four days represents a significant achievement for Ajay Devgn and the Drishyam franchise.
