Bhairathi Ranagal, the highly anticipated prequel to the successful film Mufti, is set for a grand release on November 15. Directed by Narthan, the film has dropped its trailer, giving fans an exhilarating glimpse into the story of Bhairathi Ranagal, portrayed by Shivarajkumar. In the 2-minute and 31-second trailer, Shivarajkumar commands the screen with a performance full of strength and intensity, capturing Bhairathi’s dual nature as both a lawyer and a gangster.
Set in the fictional town of Ronapura, the trailer reveals a harsh world where even basic necessities like water are hard to come by. One of the most striking lines in the trailer, translated from Kannada, reveals the harsh reality: "Just making a request by writing on a white paper is enough to get water." Bhairathi Ranagal’s character stands resolute, stating, "I don’t mind losing anybody for the sake of the people, but I can’t lose the people," underlining his unwavering commitment to the community.
Adding to the intrigue is Bollywood actor Rahul Bose, who plays the antagonist. His line, “We don’t want to see his end, but give an end to his social deeds,” hints at a complex and formidable rival. As Bhairathi stands firm, determined to make his mark in Ronapura, the film promises thrilling action and an emotional rollercoaster.
The gritty tone of Bhairathi Ranagal is brought to life by cinematographer Naveen Kumar, who captures the rough and unforgiving environment, while Ravi Basrur’s musical score heightens the tension. The film also stars Rukmini Vasanth as a doctor, alongside Devaraj, Chhaya Singh, Gopalkrishna Deshpande, and Babu Hirannaiah in supporting roles.
Produced by Geetha Shivarajkumar under the Geetha Pictures banner, Bhairathi Ranagal looks to deliver high-octane action and a compelling narrative that delves deeper into the legacy of its titular hero. Fans can expect to witness not just a thrilling prequel but also a sequel, as Shivarajkumar himself has confirmed that the second part is already in the works.
