Dr. Leela Mohan, who spent 18 years in the medical field, is now channeling his energy into the world of cinema. Always passionate about the arts, Dr. Mohan is stepping into the limelight with his upcoming film Naayi Ide Echarike (Beware of the Dog), set for release in December. Reflecting on his journey, he says, “I’ve always believed it’s never too late to follow your dreams. When the opportunity came, I grabbed it.”

Dr. Mohan's journey into acting began with a special role in the TV series Baduku (Life), a role that reignited his passion for performance. He describes the experience as a dream come true, saying, “I was nervous at first, but once I was on set, I realized how much I loved it.” This spark led him to make his feature film debut in Kraurya, followed by roles in Gadiyara, Putani Panturu, Ravana, and Ugra Avatar, where he portrayed the character of ‘Psycho Sudarshan.’

Not content with just acting, Dr. Mohan expanded his horizons into film production, recently producing and starring in Naayi Ide Echarike. “I wanted to understand the entire filmmaking process,” he shares. “It’s not just about acting. I want to explore every aspect of this industry.”

In addition to acting and production, Dr. Mohan has also ventured into film distribution, successfully overseeing the release of the Telugu film Angulika in Karnataka. With his new film Naayi Ide Echarike ready to hit the screens, Dr. Mohan is excited to continue his growth in the film industry.

“I want to create opportunities for young filmmakers and actors,” he says. “I’ve been fortunate to follow my dreams, and now I want to help others do the same. It's important to give them the platform they deserve.”

Dr. Mohan’s career trajectory serves as an inspiring example that it’s never too late to pursue your dreams. “I chose medicine to help people, and I still do. But now, I have the chance to make an impact in a different way—through storytelling,” he concludes. “If you have a passion, pursue it, no matter where you are in life.”
