After a six-year hiatus, director Dinakar Thoogudeepa is making a grand comeback with Royal, a youth-centric entertainer scheduled for release on January 24, 2025. Thoogudeepa, who last directed Life Jothe Ondu Selfie, has teamed up with Jayanna Films (Jayanna and Bhogendra) for this highly anticipated film. The movie stars Virat, who is making his second appearance after his debut in Kiss, and Sanjana Anand, returning to Kannada cinema after her role in Window Seat and a stint in Telugu films.
Royal has already created a buzz, particularly with its music composed by Charan Raj. The song ‘Laila Oh Meri Laila’ has gone viral, adding to the growing anticipation around the film. Promised to be a youthful commercial entertainer, Royal combines emotion, comedy, and action to offer mass appeal.
The film also features a talented ensemble cast, including Raghu Mukherjee, Chaya Singh, Achyuth Kumar, Rangayana Raghu, Pramod Shetty, Abhilash, and Gourav Shetty, among others. Cinematography by Sanket Mysuru promises to elevate the film’s visual appeal.
With an exciting blend of fresh talent and experienced filmmakers, Royal is expected to be a major hit in 2025, setting the stage for a grand theatrical release in the New Year.
