Two of Kannada cinema's most eagerly awaited films, UI and Max, are set to release in December, making for an exciting month for moviegoers. UI, directed by Upendra, marks the celebrated filmmaker's return to the director’s chair after nine years. This has generated significant anticipation, especially with fans eager to see his new creation. On the other hand, Max, starring Sudeep, is also generating considerable buzz and will be released just five days later.

UI is scheduled for release on December 20, while Max will hit theatres on December 25. Initially expected to release in August, Max faced delays but is now finally ready for its big-screen debut. Both films, which will be released in multiple languages, are set to clash at the box office.

However, Sudeep doesn’t view the releases as a competition. When asked about the clash, he said, "Both films should succeed. I am a huge fan of Upendra and have never doubted his direction. I’ve always told him to direct more films. He has immense confidence in himself and in his work. So, there is no competition between us."

Addressing the fan-driven rivalry surrounding the release dates, Sudeep further explained, "When the makers themselves don’t have a problem, I don’t understand why others are creating issues. Upendra's film will release first, followed by ours. There’s no problem or competition. We have carefully chosen the release dates to ensure both films get the attention they deserve. The word 'clash' should be removed from the dictionary."

Both UI and Max promise to be major attractions this December, and their release strategy reflects a mutual respect and understanding between the filmmakers.
