The highly anticipated film Raju James Bond, starring First Rank Raju actor Gurunandan, is set for release on December 27. Directed by Deepak Madhuvanahalli, the film is described as a lighthearted entertainer, offering clean, wholesome comedy with no vulgar dialogues. The release date was confirmed after the motion poster launch on Saturday, with producers Manjunath Vishwakarma and Kiran Bharturu present to make the announcement.
Director Madhuvanahalli revealed that Gurunandan would be seen in a completely different avatar, breaking away from his established "First Rank Raju" image. "We’ve pushed him out of his comfort zone into a new genre," said Madhuvanahalli, emphasizing that the film will provide audiences with over an hour of laughter and fun.
Gurunandan spoke about his transition, mentioning how the director challenged him with dance and action sequences. He also praised the producers for ensuring no shortcuts were taken in the film's production.
Alongside Gurunandan, Raju James Bond features Mridula as the female lead, with Ravi Shankar, Chikkanna, Sadhu Kokila, Achyuth Kumar, and Jai Jagadish in important roles. The film boasts four songs choreographed by Murali, with two shot in India and two in London. The cinematography is handled by Manohar Joshi. Raju James Bond will be released in both Kannada and Hindi, making it accessible to a broader audience.
