Tharun Kishore Sudhir, renowned for his directorial successes Chowka and Kaatera, is preparing for his second production venture under Tharun Sudhir Kreatiivez. Following the success of Guru Shishyaru, this upcoming project promises to be an intense love thriller, co-produced alongside Atlanta Nagendra. Based on a real-life incident, the film will mark the directorial debut of Punit Rangaswamy, a lyricist and storyteller known for his collaborations with Tharun on Kaatera and Guru Shishyaru.
Speaking about the project, Tharun shared, “Punit Rangaswamy had been working on the story for a while. Initially, he sought my guidance as a creative head, but the depth and layers of the narrative captured my attention. It was then that I decided to produce the film. We believe we can do justice to this story, which is deeply rooted in reality.”
The story, set in the picturesque yet intense regions surrounding Chamarajanagar, Salem, and Erode (on the Karnataka-Tamil Nadu border), revolves around a gripping love story with elements of thriller. The real-life incident that inspired the story adds a unique dimension to the narrative, making it raw, thought-provoking, and intriguing. Tharun also mentioned that the script left a lasting impression on his long-time collaborator Atlanta Nagendra, who was eager to join the project.
“We are looking to cast fresh faces who do not have predefined images so that the focus remains solely on the story,” Tharun revealed, adding that the film's casting details will be announced soon. The team plans to start shooting by the end of December, setting the stage for an exciting new addition to the Kannada film industry.
