The title teaser for the upcoming Kannada film Maarnami has been unveiled, introducing Ritvvikk and Chaitra Achar as the lead pair. Directed by first-time filmmaker Rishith Shetty, the movie is a coastal love story with music composed by Charan Raj. The film’s production is set to kick off in Mangaluru on October 1.
Rishith Shetty, who trained under National Award-winning director Preetham Shetty of Pingara fame, shared how the project came to life. He initially heard the story from writer Sudhi, who chose not to direct it. After working on the script for six months, Rishith presented it to Ritvvikk, who was immediately interested. Producer Nishanth then joined the project, and the team has received significant support ever since.
Music director Charan Raj expressed his excitement about collaborating with the young team, noting the potential of the story. The film will include five songs, and Raj shared that the music development is already underway.
