Rita Anchan, the renowned actress best known for her role in the 1980s hit film Parasangada Gende Thimma, has passed away at the age of 68. She was loved for her portrayal of Marakani in the film, which featured popular songs and brought her significant recognition. Rita Anchan also worked in Hindi, Punjabi, and Gujarati films, making her a prominent figure across multiple industries.
In addition to her role in Parasangada Gende Thimma, she appeared in films such as Kora Badan, Ladki Jawan Ho Gayi, Aap Se Pyar Hua, Sandarbha, and Farz Aur Pyar. Her performance in Parasangada Gende Thimma especially endeared her to fans and earned her numerous awards.
Rita had been battling health issues for the past few years and had been on medication. She was married to Radhakrishna Manchigaiah, and they had a son and daughter, living in Bangalore.
