One of the most eagerly awaited pieces of content from director Lokesh Kanagaraj has just been unveiled – the first look of Chapter Zero, a short film that serves as a prelude to the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). Fans have been excitedly speculating about how Kanagaraj’s films Kaithi (2019), Vikram (2022), and Leo (2023) are interconnected, and Chapter Zero promises to reveal the origin story behind these links. The first look poster shows guns arranged to form a ‘0’ along with the tagline, “1 shot, 2 stories, 24 hours.” The short film will be produced by Kanagaraj’s G Squad banner.
The intriguing tagline has sparked a lively conversation among LCU fans and theorists. Many believe “1 shot” hints at Kamal Haasan’s Vikram, “2 stories” refers to Vijay’s Leo, and “24 hours” alludes to Karthi’s Kaithi. Social media is abuzz with fans discussing how Chapter Zero might reveal the hidden connections between these films.
While anticipation for Chapter Zero builds, Lokesh Kanagaraj is also engaged in his upcoming project, Coolie, starring Rajinikanth alongside an ensemble cast, including Nagarjuna, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, and Upendra.
