Prabhas, alongside his close friends Pramod Uppalapati and Thaalla Vaishnav, has introduced a new platform for aspiring scriptwriters and storytellers called The Script Craft. This platform aims to provide a space for writers to submit their story ideas and receive feedback from the audience. The actor himself launched the platform and encouraged budding writers to share their stories with the world, stating, “Share your story, inspire the world on this platform, where writers bring their words to life and the audience votes to shape reality. Join the movement.”
The Script Craft is a public forum where writers can submit a 250-word synopsis of their stories. These submissions are open to public voting, and the highest-rated ideas will receive greater visibility on the platform. The ranking system, based on audience ratings, is designed to foster a positive and supportive environment for writers, helping them gain confidence in their craft.
To kick off the platform, The Script Craft has launched an exciting contest, “Imagine your favourite hero with superpowers.” Writers are invited to submit a 3500-word story that reimagines their favourite hero with unique superpowers. The story with the highest rating will not only enjoy increased visibility but also be offered a chance to become an assistant writer or assistant director on a real-time project.
While the platform has garnered excitement from Prabhas's fans and the audience, there are concerns raised by some netizens about copyright protection. The platform’s disclaimer states that they act as intermediaries for the stories submitted and bear no responsibility for any instances of plagiarism. As a result, many are urging aspiring writers to be cautious and ensure their work is copyrighted before submission to safeguard their intellectual property.
On the work front, Prabhas is currently shooting for the upcoming horror comedy The Raja Saab.
