The beloved romantic drama Prema Kavali, released in 2011 and featuring Aadi Saikumar and Isha Chawla in lead roles, is gearing up for a theatrical re-release. The announcement was made on Thursday, revealing that the film will hit screens again on October 26. Directed and produced by veteran filmmaker K Vijaya Bhaskar, Prema Kavali became a blockbuster upon its initial release, successfully completing a remarkable 100-day run at the box office.
Prema Kavali marked the film debuts of both Aadi and Isha, establishing them as prominent actors in the Telugu film industry. The film's soundtrack, composed by Anup Rubens, featured popular tracks like “Chirunavve Visirave” and “Listen To My Heart,” which resonated well with audiences and contributed significantly to the film’s success.
Recently, K Vijaya Bhaskar directed the romantic drama Usha Pariyanam, starring his son Sree Kamal. Aadi Saikumar was last seen in Das Ki Dhamki, alongside Vishwak Sen, while Isha Chawla is making her return to the silver screen after a hiatus with the upcoming Chiranjeevi film Vishwambhara.
The re-release of Prema Kavali comes at an exciting time for Telugu cinema, as other major films are also set to return to theaters. Prabhas' popular film Mr. Perfect is scheduled for a re-release on October 22, the same day as Krishna Vamsi’s Khadgam. This trend of re-releasing classic films reflects the enduring love of audiences for these cinematic gems and their memorable stories.
