The Telugu biographical drama "Matka," directed by Karuna Kumar, will feature Varun Tej in the lead role as Matka King Ratan Khatri. The film draws inspiration from the real-life story of Khatri, known for revolutionizing the gambling scene in India.
On October 1, the makers took to social media to share a new poster of Varun Tej, where the actor is seen with a striking new look, complete with a mustache, making him almost unrecognizable. The announcement was accompanied by a caption, "From the streets of Vizag to the corridors of power—Mega Prince @IamVarunTej stepping in to change the game with #MATKA."
"Matka" is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on November 14, 2024, and the poster has already generated excitement among fans for Varun Tej's portrayal of this iconic figure.
