The Tamil Nadu government has allocated ₹29.96 crore for the Thirukkazhukundram Water Supply Project, a significant initiative aimed at addressing the region's water needs. The project is designed to ensure safe and sufficient water supply to all households, streamlining the delivery system to meet the growing demand for clean water.
The plan is to provide each family with 350 litres of water per day. This water distribution will cover various areas, including agricultural zones under the local municipality, ensuring that residents have easy access to water.
Officials are confident that this project will significantly address the water scarcity issues in the region. Along with ensuring a regular water supply, the project also focuses on improving water management practices to enhance efficiency. The Tamil Nadu government believes that this project will improve the quality of life for residents and help sustain the region’s growth.
With the Thirukkazhukundram Water Supply Project, the state expects to see a major shift in how water resources are managed and distributed, promising a sustainable solution for years to come.
