The Pennaiyarthir Kanga river in Nellikkuppam, Vishwanathapuram, hosted its second annual Ganga Aarti ceremony, attracting a large number of devotees. The event began with an Abhishekam at the Vishwanathapuriswarar temple at 3:00 PM, where priests offered sacred prayers and performed rituals to honor the deity. This was followed by the Ganga Aarti at 6:00 PM, a traditional ceremony that involves the lighting of lamps and chanting of prayers in reverence to the holy river Ganga.

The ritual was conducted under the leadership of renowned priest, S. Raja Sekaran, with support from four other priests, including Amsa Bhaskaran and Janarthanan. Together, they led the prayers, drawing in hundreds of devotees from the surrounding areas, who participated in the event with fervor and devotion.

The temple's worship team, alongside the Punyam Foundation, took responsibility for organizing and preparing for the ceremony. The foundation, known for its spiritual initiatives, ensured that every aspect of the event was meticulously planned, allowing the ceremony to unfold smoothly. The celebration of this annual ritual is expected to continue growing, drawing more people to the region and furthering the cultural and religious importance of this sacred event.
