Erode district witnessed grand Christmas celebrations across several churches, with midnight masses, special prayers, and community gatherings. The Christmas spirit was alive in every corner of the district, especially at the Amala Annai Church located on State Bank Road, where the birth of Jesus Christ was commemorated with a midnight mass. The nativity scene set up at the church added to the festive atmosphere as the faithful gathered to offer their prayers.
In the early morning, the CSI Prabha Church conducted a special prayer session under the leadership of Father Kadpre Stephen. The prayer session drew a large congregation, and after the service, the faithful were presented with spiritual teachings and blessings. Additionally, a family song worship service was held in the evening, further strengthening the community bond.
The Sacred Heart Church in the Railway Colony also conducted special prayers for the occasion, while other churches in the district were packed with worshippers. Over 160 churches across Erode district celebrated Christmas, with the Christian community coming together to pray for peace, joy, and goodwill. The district’s Christmas festivities reflected both the religious and social spirit of the season.
The celebrations also saw a large number of local families and communities participating in the church services, marking a sense of unity among Erode’s Christian population.
