In a Public Grievance Day session held at the Erode Collectorate, residents from Punzai Palatholu and Highway City, both located in the Perundurai Taluk, raised concerns about the absence of basic infrastructure in their neighborhoods. In a petition submitted during the event, the residents pointed out that over 25 families have been living in these areas for several years without essential services like drinking water, street lighting, and drainage facilities.
The residents urged the authorities to take immediate steps to address these gaps in infrastructure, which are vital for their daily lives. The absence of these basic amenities has caused significant inconvenience for the people in these areas, especially considering the number of families affected.
Among the key requests were the provision of safe drinking water, proper street lights for security, and the establishment of a drainage system to avoid waterlogging and improve sanitation. The residents also emphasized that these facilities are essential for the overall development of the area and the well-being of the community.
As the petition was submitted during a public grievance meeting, the authorities are expected to take the issue seriously and respond to the residents' demands. The timely implementation of these improvements could significantly enhance the quality of life in the region.
