The camp aimed to ensure that the students receive the proper medical care, treatment plans, and educational support.

A medical assessment camp for differently-abled students was successfully organized yesterday in Arivalur, near Vaanapuram, under the joint effort of the Department of Differently-abled Welfare and the Integrated School Education Department. The camp was held with the objective of providing specialized medical evaluations and guidance to students with disabilities aged between 1 and 18 years. The camp was led by Subramani, the Differently-abled Welfare Officer.

A total of 57 students participated in the camp, where they were assessed by a team of medical professionals. Among the experts were orthopedic surgeon Dr. Sivaraman, ENT specialist Dr. Rajeshwari, ophthalmologist Dr. Helen Clarissa, psychiatrist Dr. Chitra, and pediatrician Dr. Revathi. Each doctor conducted thorough examinations and provided detailed recommendations for treatments or follow-up care as needed.

In addition to the medical assessments, an important administrative step was taken during the camp. The students were registered online for their National Identity cards, which will help them access various government schemes and services. The camp aimed to ensure that the students receive the proper medical care, treatment plans, and educational support.

Differently-abled students in the region now have access to specialized medical services, contributing significantly to their health and well-being. The camp underscores the importance of providing comprehensive support for differently-abled children to ensure they have equal opportunities for education and healthcare.
